Obstacle and Indication Lights
Two novelties for more safety: POL and Quadro LED TL

Dear reader,

In today's edition of our newsletter, we wish to introduce you to two novelties from the establishment of Pfannenberg in the form of modern obstacle lights for aviation safety as well as combined status indicators for tower cranes.
Low-Intensity Obstacle Light - POL 10 and POL 32
As from a specific height, depending on the position, building structures must be marked at night with optical signals, so that they can be seen by aircraft pilots. These are usually chimneys, buildings, wind turbines, masts or radio towers. Pfannenberg has developed low power obstacle light POL 10 (10 cd) and POL 32 (32 cd) for this application – POL stands for Pfannenberg Obstacle Light. They guarantee the marking of aviation obstacles at night, they are AVV certified and conform to the ICAO. The possible danger of shading due to redundant beacons or lamps in regular obstacle lights is foreclosed by the redundant lights integrated in a single POL.
Obstacle light POL 10 and POL 32
  • Regulation-conforming marking system for flight obstacles according to GCU and ICAO
  • Certified according to GCU
  • Easy-to-assemble even on obstacles, for which redundant light is required
  • Very long service life, LED technology applied
  • Economical in power consumption
  • Maintenance-free, remote diagnosis possible

Indication Light Quadro LED TL
Even if not seen it at first glance, several forces exert impacts on cranes. On one hand, the weight that they transport. On the other hand, the wind, which blows stronger at the apex of the crane than on the ground proximity. Pfannenberg has developed the new Quadro LED TL to show the loads that a crane is exposed to.

It is used to indicate the wind load and the bearing load in remote control mode and / or overload situations on all types of cranes. For example, on automobile cranes or tower cranes. Since signals can be transmitted both as flashing as well as permanent light, a single lamp is therefore in a position to display different alerting situations. The Quadro LED TL meets the safety standards EN 13000 (mobile cranes) and EN 14439 (Tower cranes).
Combined status beacon Quadro LED TL
  • standard-conforming crane equipment in accordance with EN 13000 (mobile cranes) and EN 14439 (Tower cranes)
  • increased operating and acceptance safety
  • cost-effective assembly
  • extremely long service life, based on latest LED technology
  • maintenance-free
  • impact-proof, UV-resistant, water-and dustproof
